Journal of the American Society of Cytopathology PDF

JASC is the official publication of the American Society of Cytopathology, and it reflects the society’s values and concerns. JASC issues regularimonthly papers that have the most cutting-edge original research of any standard. The Journal attempts to provide a superior forum for discussion and the dissemination of original research and medical information regarding cytopathology and other associated fields in medicine. The cross-cutting nature of the journal’s focus ensures that information is shared among all readers involved in the field of cytopathology as well as its associated basic sciences, epidemiology and clinical oncology.

JASC’s efforts are intended to have a positive effect on all of cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as other human illnesses. JASC publishes original research that focuses on novel findings or clinical-pathological associations in a patient-oriented environment, technological advances in basic research that are important for the development of personalized medicine, and new molecular techniques that are employed or modified to have a greater role in the diagnosis or monitoring of disease. Also, original projects that demonstrate the value of education in cytopathology are preferred, these projects include innovative methods of continuing education and training as well as the design and implementation of new assessments and evaluation techniques. It appropriately addresses and focuses on the population’s health concerns and public policy issues. It’s the purpose of JASC to lead the field of cytopathology by establishing professional standards of quality that ensure the diagnosis is exceptional, the laboratory is safe, and allied health care specialties are educated.
