Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery, Volume 3: Axial Skeleton Fractures and Nonunion (PDF Book)
Tang Peifu (Author)
This book follows the principles of anatomy to guide surgical operations, biomechanics to guide fixation, and functional reconstruction to guide clinical operations. Each chapter first introduces the applied anatomy of the fracture site, emphasizing the relationship between anatomical structure and surgery, and emphasizing the structures that need to be protected and repaired during surgery. In addition, the biomechanical properties of the fracture site are described in order to select an appropriate fixation method according to the properties of the mechanical environment. In most of the chapters on periarticular fractures, the book also provides a detailed description of how the joint performs its function, which is often at the heart of clinical decision-making, and it is hoped that the reader will understand how and why.
This book adopts an outline format instead of the traditional paragraph-by-paragraph discussion, conveying the “distilled essence” to readers more succinctly, improving logical fluency and conciseness, and thus enhancing the readability of the book. In addition, the book discusses the mechanisms of injury and the classification and assessment of extremity and axial fractures, with emphasis on typical and novel surgical approaches, in three volumes, using more than 3,000 illustrations and photographs, many of which Drawings from our clinical practice have developed in recent years. The illustrations and photographs serve as a good reference for the reader to learn surgical techniques and techniques.
Volume III is divided into five chapters focusing on axial bone fractures and nonunions.
